Advice You Would Give To A Freshman High School Athlete
Freshmen, go out and give it your all in every game and practice. Go into each practice to get better and better someone else. You are going to have off games and practices, but do not let that be your focus. Focus on using God’s gifts to His honor, and grow as an individual and as a team.
A Person(s) Who Had A Major Impact On My Athletic Career & Why Is…
There have been so many coaches that have helped me become who I am today. From middle school with my softball coaches to all the way through high school with all my coaches, they have taught me so much about confidence and how important it is to have confidence. Jaimie Kok was my first high school basketball coach and has been with me all four years of basketball and has reminded me each game to just have fun on the court and to encourage and better someone else. My mom has also had a huge impact on my athletic career. Starting all the way back in middle school when she was my volleyball coach. At the time I don’t know if I appreciated it as much as I do now. She has taught me so much in what it means to be a great teammate and that I am capable of doing things I put my mind to. My mom has been such a great role model in my athletic career but also in life.
Plans For After Graduation
I plan to attend college for an Exercise Science degree. Unsure of where yet, but have options in the air.

Favorite High School Teacher & Why
Mr. Buteyn because has been a huge role model for me. He has taught me that not every day is going to be a good day. But all we can do is push through and make someone else’s day. This is just one of the many life lessons that he continues to give me each day.
