The Beaver Dam School District will be closed beginning Monday, March 16 tentatively until Monday, April 6.
All Columbus schools are closed effective immediately. This closure will extend minimally through Sunday, April 5. This closure applies to all Columbus. PK-12 student instruction and extra-curricular activities.

Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Postponements and Cancelations
The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Board and staff confirmed the postponement and tentative status of the following shows and performances listed below, in response to the latest government and health organization requirements and recommendations:
• DUELING PIANOS (March 27) – postponed
• DEATH OF A SALESMAN (April 15-26) – postponed
• JOHN MCGIVERN (May 2) – postponed
• ONE VOICE – (May 8) – canceled
• DARYL STUERMER with BEAVER DAM AREA ORCHESTRA (May 23) – may be postponed based on latest guidelines
• BRIGADOON (June 18-28) – The area high schools’ production may continue with online auditions and some of the rehearsal material being distributed online. We don’t have much detail yet on how this will work yet. Please note that the original performance dates will likely change, or performances may not happen at all.
For now, all other previously scheduled productions during the upcoming summer and fall months will continue as planned, with the caveat that new or updated government and health agency requirements may necessitate further delays or postponements. Furthermore, please note that the Board and staff will do our best to reschedule our postponed shows to run as soon as possible; that will also impact whether we need to reschedule future productions and events.
Status of Tickets: Please hang on to your tickets and we will establish a new performance date as soon as the restrictions and dangers of congregating are past. Thank you for your understanding.
BDACT Box Office and Building – The Beaver Dam Area Fine Arts Center, including the Box Office, will be closed through the end of March, and is likely to remained closed beyond then until further notice.
Ticket Exchanges: Given the current COVID-19 crisis, BDACT is changing its policy to allow ticket holders of an upcoming show or event to exchange tickets for any performance during the remainder of the 2020 season. If you are not able to attend a rescheduled performance, please contact [email protected] for a voucher to any upcoming production. Your voucher will equal the value of your initial ticket.

Office is closed until further notice
The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce has cancelled the Spring Election Candidates Forum scheduled for April 1st.
Beaver Dam City Hall is closed, except for absentee voting and registration for the April 7 election. However, officials are urging voters to avoid appearing in person by mailing ballots. City staff will be answering the phone during regular business hours. The Public Works, Water Utility and Wastewater Utility are closed to the public and available by appointment only. Customers are asked to use the payment drop boxes outside city hall but are also encouraged to consider using their online option through Xpress Bill Pay. All non-essential municipal meetings are cancelled through April 6 and officials are encouraging the public to consider foregoing in-person attendance in favor of reviewing recorded meetings.
Beaver Dam Community Activities & Services (BDCAS) has closed The Watermark, cancelled programs for all ages and cancelled all building reservations at The Watermark, Tahoe Building and Crystal Beach Building until further notice.
Additionally, BDCAS Pickleball and Woodshop programs held at the school district are cancelled effective through April 17, per the school district.
The Beaver Dam Community Library building will be closed to the public until further notice. All due dates for library items will be extended to accommodate the library closure. The Beaver Dam Family Center will be removing ice effective Monday, March 16th. The goal is to have the ice restored by April 20. However, the situation remains fluid and this may change.
Beaver Dam Hearing Care offices will be closed through the end of March 2020.
Municipal Court for Beaver Dam, Town of Beaver Dam, Waupun, Mayville, Neosho, Town of Ashhipun and Town of Rubicon will be closed effective immediately until further notice.
Wednesday night kids clubs at Bible Baptist Church in Beaver Dam, are suspended, until BDUSD returns to school
Church Health Services Medical Walk In Clinics are canceled until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and clinics will resume when it is deemed safe.
Closures include the Columbus Public Library, Department of Public Works office, Columbus Area Senior Center, Fireman’s Park Pavilion, all City Parks and Columbus Police Department lobby.City staff will continue to answer the phone during normal business hours. Residents must make payments online or use the drop box at City Hall.
The TAG Center and library closed until further notice. All Park Pavilion events are canceled through the end of March. The Senior Center is closed, though Meals On Wheels will continue. City Hall is open, but the public is encouraged to only coming in if it is mandatory.
City officials in Waupun are closing the senior center, library and community center. The senior center’s closure is effective immediately. The closing of the library is effective Tuesday, though library staff will accept phone calls during regular business hours (weekdays 9am until 4:30pm). Curbside pickup will be available for checking out materials or using the library’s wireless printing or faxing services. The community center’s closure is effective Tuesday.
Compeer Financial will temporarily close all offices, including the Beaver Dam office, effective Wednesday, March 18. Offices will remain closed through Tuesday, March 31, at which point the organization will re-evaluate the situation

The public will be limited to the first floor lobby area and adjoining meeting rooms. The Miller Street entrance is ADA accessible. The remaining entrances to the building are closed. All those entering this building must check in at the Information Window. Services provided remain available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however if personal interaction is required, please contact the appropriate department in advance for an appointment. Henry Dodge Office Building – 199 County Road DF: Restricted access to the ground floor lobby. All those entering this building must check in with the main reception point. Questions can be directed to 920-386-3500.
Dodge County Highway Department – 211 East Center Street: Restricted, limited access to the entrance lobby.

The Dodge County Historical Society Museum is closed until at least April 1st. At that time the historical society will assess the situation and do what is recommended by local, state, and federal governments.

First Evangelical Lutheran Church will be closed starting Tuesday, March 17th through March 29th. This includes all worship services, Sunday School, Lenten soup suppers/Worship, committee meetings, group gatherings, and church office. Be assured that we will still be checking messages/emails and working behind the scenes (planning, disinfecting, etc.).
There will be a short, half-hour worship recorded for Sunday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 29th. These two services will also be broadcasted on 1430 WBEV at 8:00 AM as per usual. Please join us as we worship together in this new way.
Due to the inability to gather, we are cancelling our Maundy Thursday Drama and Good Friday Cantata. We will develop a new plan of what Holy Week will look like if we gather at that time. During this time it is important to check in with one another and continue to pray for comfort and healing. The Fox Lake public Library is closing March 17 at 5 pm until April 8th. All items due in this time period have been extended to April 8th. No inside services will be available. The Global Fair, sponsored by the Beaver Dam Community Library and Wayland Academy, planned for Sunday, April 5 has been cancelled and is transitioning to an online event. (Beaver Dam) Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam has imposed its most strict restrictions yet in response to the COVID-19 situation with no visitors allowed in its facilities until further notice. The exceptions include one birth partner per delivering mother; two adult visitors in end-of-life situations; and one parent or guardian if a patient is a minor. Also, all patients and visitors are required to have coverings over their noses and mouths before they can enter the hospital in Beaver Dam, including masks, bandanas or scarves. The hospital’s Café will be closed to the public. In addition, their massage and foot clinics along, with their chiropractic and sleep centers, are closed indefinitely. There will also be no Saturday walk-in screening mammograms until further notice.
Moraine Park Technical College has extended the length of time that classes will be suspended. College officials have announced that the school will be closed beginning at 10am on Wednesday (March 18) until Monday, April 13, except for essential employees. Face-to-face spring semester classes will not resume until one week later on Monday, April 20. Any classes that can be taught in a fully online format will begin on Monday, March 30 including the online classes that have not yet started.
Our Thursday morning Play Groups are canceled until at least April 30.

State Representative Mark Born district office hours scheduled to be in Beaver Dan, Juneau and Horicon on Friday, March 20th have been cancelled along with the April 3rd office hours he was set to visit Hartford, Ashippun and Iron Ridge.
