UTV Operator Arrested After Vehicle Falls Through Ice In Town Of Hustisford

(Hustisford) A UTV operator was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated after his vehicle fell through the ice in the town of Hustisford Sunday. The Dodge County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded to Sinissippi Lake around 5pm.ย ย 

The preliminary investigation showed that the UTV, a 2024 Polaris, was traveling north on the lake when it went through the ice. The Hustisford Fire Department worked in coordination with the sheriffโ€™s office and were able to successfully pull two occupants from the UTV out of the water and back to shore.  

Both occupants were uninjured. The passenger, a 46-year-old Hustisford man, was released at the scene. The driver, reportedly identified as Adam Malterer, was arrested for Operating a UTV/ATV While Under the Influence First Offense.  

The 45-year-old was transported to Aurora Medical Center as a precaution where he was later released.
