Theresa Man Arrested By State Trooper For Fourth OWI Offense

(Lomira) A Dodge County man was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol for his fourth offense operating under the influence. A trooper was on routine traffic patrol around 11:30pm Tuesday when they observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 67 near Lomira.

The vehicle then entered the I-41 southbound offramp the wrong way heading northbound. The trooper followed the vehicle up the ramp with their emergency lights and siren activated. Before reaching the through lanes of I-41, the driver – reportedly identified as Jeremy Garbisch, was able to turn his vehicle around and pull over to the shoulder.

When approaching the vehicle, the trooper allegedly noticed an odor of intoxicants and evidence of impairment. The 43-year-old from Theresa was put through Field Sobriety Testing and was taken into custody for Fourth Offense Operating While Intoxicated.

After a blood draw, Garbisch was transported to the Dodge County Jail. He had an initial appearance Wednesday where cash bond was set at $500.
