(Beaver Dam) Moraine Park Technical College recently handed out its annual Business and Industry Partner Awards. The College’s Economic and Workforce Development recognizes five partnership awards each year.
BCI Burke was selected for the Excellence in Partnership Award, which is given to an organization involved in several areas of MPTC, for their donation to the AIR Center and in-kind donations of bike-rakes.
Employer of the Year was given to Kreilkamp Trucking for their significant investment in their staff through a partnership with Moraine Park.
The Innovation Award recipient was Whisker, for finding creative solutions to meet their workforce needs.
Karavan Trailers was the New Partner of the Year, for partnering with the school for the first time in the fall of 2022.
The Workforce Development Champion award winner was Mark Lasky, CEO of Sadoff Iron and Metal. The award is given to individuals focused on improving the skills and retention of personnel in the region and has positively impacted workforce issues around recruitment, training, and career development. Lasky has been a CEO speaker for the STRAT program sharing his leadership journey and philosophy. Sadoff identified an increase in retirements in leadership positions, so they partnered with MPTC to provide employees with leadership training.
