Lomira Area Seat Opens on Dodge County Board

(LOMIRA) People in the Lomira area can step up and serve on the Dodge County Board after the current supervisor chose not to seek another term.

A vacancy in District 16 will take effect April 21, covering Wards 1 through 3 in the Village of Lomira, according to a county press release.

The opening comes after incumbent Benjamin Priesgen filed non-candidacy and did not run for reelection in the spring election, leaving the seat unfilled.

County Board Chair David Frohling will appoint someone to serve the district, with confirmation from the full board. The person selected will serve the remainder of the term through April 18, 2028.

People who live in District 16 and want to be considered can apply by sending a letter of interest and a resume to Frohling by May 4.

More information about the district, including a map, is available on the Dodge County website or through the county clerkโ€™s office.
