(Beaver Dam) An effort to upgrade Beaver Dam’s pickleball courts recently received a donation. Larsen Family Dental made a contribution of $5,000 towards the project. Dr. Andrea Larsen, a 2003 graduate of Beaver Dam High School, and her husband – Jon – are avid pickleball players themselves and are excited for the opportunity to be part of this effort.
They were introduced to the game by Andrea’s parents in the spring of 2022 and have become regulars ever since. Organizers with the project say their involvement in the local pickleball community, on and off the court, is another example of the extraordinary amount of support received from both the citizens and local businesses.
The project is a joint effort of the city, a dedicated group of local volunteers, and the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation to upgrade the current Athletic Field Park pickleball courts into a top-notch outdoor facility to host tournaments, community gatherings, corporate events, and intergenerational family outings.
