(Green Lake County) The Green Lake County Public Health Department is cautioning the public about hazardous conditions at two boat launches on Green Lake. The Green Lake Sanitary District is reporting a very high reading for E.coli at Sunset Park Boat Launch. It is not a swimming area.
Those launching their boats there should avoid getting water in their mouth and should rinse off upon exiting the water. Meanwhile there is a Blue Green Algae Bloom at County Highway K Marsh boat landing.
The bloom tested positive for the microcystin toxin. The Green Lake Association is monitoring the bloom until they have a confirmed negative test.
