(Princeton) Green Lake County authorities are investigating after a body was found in the Fox River Thursday morning. Sheriff’s deputies received a call from a concerned citizen around 6:50am requesting a welfare check at a residence in the town of Princeton on the Fox River.
Authorities responded to the property and fount it unoccupied with tracks on the ice leading to an area of broken ice and open water. The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit also responded to the scene.
With the use of an underwater camera, crews located a person in the river shortly after deploying. Law enforcement say the individual was removed from the river and was pronounced dead at the scene.
