Dodge County Seniors Can Apply for $1,000 Scholarship for Horticulture Careers 

(DODGE COUNTY) A Dodge County high school senior with a passion for plants could get a $1,000 boost toward college next fall. 

The Dodge County Master Gardener Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in horticulture or a related field. 

To qualify, students must live in Dodge County and graduate from a public, parochial or home school. Applicants must also have applied to a two- or four-year accredited college or technical school with a program leading to a degree or certification in horticulture or a related area. 

Eligible career paths include horticulture, plant science, soil science, agriculture, environmental science, landscaping, forestry and science education. 

Applications are available through guidance offices, agricultural teachers and FFA sponsors at area high schools, including Beaver Dam, Columbus, Dodgeland, Hartford, Horicon, Hustisford, Lakeside Lutheran, Lomira, Mayville, Oconomowoc, Randolph, Waterloo, Watertown and Waupun, as well as Central Wisconsin Christian School.

The deadline to apply is April 1, 2026.
