Beaver Dam Man Accused of Running Cocaine Operation Faces 13 Charges

(BEAVER DAM) A months-long drug investigation in Beaver Dam ended with a man behind bars and prosecutors accusing him of running a cocaine operation.

Robert E. Magett of Beaver Dam was arrested Thursday after the Dodge County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant in the 800 block of South Lincoln Avenue, according to the Dodge County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

The Dodge County District Attorneyโ€™s Office has charged Magett with 10 counts of manufacturing or delivering cocaine, one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place, one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and one count of possession of a firearm by an out-of-state felon.

Investigators say they seized a firearm, magazines, ammunition, cocaine and a large amount of cash from the residence.

Authorities describe the arrest as the result of a long-term investigation led by the drug task force. Agencies involved included the Dodge County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Beaver Dam Police Department, and police departments in Horicon, Theresa, Brownsville and Waupun.

Magett is being held in the Dodge County Jail on a $150,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
