Dodge County Home Sales Dipped In August In 2022 Over Last Year

(Dodge County) Dodge County home sales dipped in the eighth month of 2022 when compared to last year. According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association there were 95 homes sold in August down from the 118 sold in 2021, a decrease of 19.5-percent. The average medium price jumped just over seven-percent to $225-thousand-dollars. It was at $210-thousand a year ago.

Columbia County saw an uptick of nearly 27-percent in the number of homes sold from 78 in 2021 to 99 this August. The medium price also jumped 27-percent year-over-year from $227-thousand-dollars to $290-thousand.

There were 137 homes sold in August of 2022 in Fond du Lac County, up from the 126 bought last year, an increase of 8.7-percent. The medium price went from $187-thousand-dollars in 2021 to $215-thousand this year, a jump of 14.7-percent.

In Jefferson County, 124 houses were purchased this year compared to 159 in the eighth month of 2021, a drop of 22-percent. Medium home prices increased 17-percent, from $267-thousand-dollars to $313-thousand this August.

Statewide, home sales decreased from 9,246 in August of 2021 to 8,289, a decline of 10.4-percent.
