Dodge County 4-H Highlighting June Dairy Month Happenings

(Juneau) Dodge County 4-H is highlighting a number of different activities as part of June Dairy Month. Wisconsin’s dairy promotion programs, especially for National Dairy Month, connect consumers to national and in-state dairy promotions.

Dodge County 4-H officials say dairy promotion volunteers are the “boots on the ground” in local communities to promote, educate, and build trust in dairy and dairy farmers. They say upcoming activities include the Juneau Victorians Diary Party happening Thursday night, June 8th at 6:30pm at the Juneau Community Center. Also this Thursday evening, the Sinissippi Ice Cream Social from 4:30pm to 8pm at the Hustisford Community Hall.

Leipsic 4H youth will be serving root beer floats and handing out information about the dairy industry on June 22nd at Swan Park. The Trenton Highlights Brat Stand Fundraiser will be handing out malts on June 25th. 4-H officials note that Watertown Badgers are also doing dairy promo at Ruby’s Food Pantry throughout the summer.

At the start of June Dairy Month, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers invited everyone to support the state’s signature industry.

“So whether it’s a fried or fresh cheese curd…custard or ice cream…chocolate milk or regular milk…this dairy month, join me in supporting Wisconsin’s diary farmers and producers and all that makes Wisconsin…Wisconsin,” said Evers.

Dodge County’s June Dairy Month festivities kicked off last Sunday at Gault Valley Farms in Neosho, which hosted the 43rd annual Dodge County Dairy Brunch.
