COVID Cases Keep Climbing As Vaccination Rate Inches Upward

(Wisconsin) COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to climb in Wisconsin, even as the vaccination rate slowly inches upward. The seven-day average of COVID-19 cases is at 1,496, according to Thursday’s numbers from the state Department of Health Services. DHS also reported 32 COVID-19 deaths, bringing that seven-day average to 11. As of Thursday afternoon, 1,071 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, with 317 in the ICU, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association. So far, 55.5 percent of the has gotten at least one dose of a COVID vaccine, and 52.1 percent are fully vaccinated.

In Dodge County, those who have received at least one dose of the vaccine is at 45.3-percent while those who have completed the vaccination series is at 42.3-percent. That figure is at 45.2-percent in Fond du Lac County, 47.1-percentin Washington County, 47.3-percent in Jefferson County, 56.2-percent in Washington County, and 46.4-percent in Green Lake County.
