(Beaver Dam) Cash bond was set at $75-thousand-dollars for a Beaver Dam man accused of inappropriately touching a minor. Armando Ortiz is facing multiple felonies including Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Child Enticement, and Soliciting a Child for Prostitution.
Dodge County sheriffโs detectives began investigating a report of possible child sexual assault last December. The victimโs mother reportedly found texts on her daughterโs phone that suggested Ortiz had asked her for an inappropriate photo.
When questioned, the victim โ who was around 14-years-old at the time โ reportedly said on several occasions Ortiz would touch her and offered her money to perform sexual acts. The alleged offenses occurred between June and November of 2020.
If convicted, the 38-year-old faces up to 217 years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for this Thursday, October 13th.ย
