Beaver Dam Citizens Invited To Meeting On Resurfacing Project

(Beaver Dam) A public involvement meeting will be held Thursday for a street resurfacing project in Beaver Dam that is planned for next summer. The city is currently working with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and MSA Professional Services to resurface the existing pavement on Frances Lane from Gateway Drive to North Crystal Lake Road.

The project will address the existing substandard and deteriorated pavement which is experiencing significant cracking and has reached the end of its useful life. Work will consist of milling and overlaying the asphalt pavement as well as new pavement markings. Frances Lane will remain open to traffic for the duration of construction and will utilize flagging operations as well as short duration lane closures to facilitate the flow of traffic through the work zone.

The public involvement meeting will be held Thursday from 6pm to 7pm at City Hall. It will be open house format, with project exhibits available for review. Representatives from the city and project design staff will be on hand to answer questions.
