(Fond du Lac) A traffic stop on U.S. Highway 151 in Fond du Lac County last week resulted in the seizure of 10 pounds of high-grade marijuana, a variety of other drugs, over $21,000 in cash and a loaded 9 millimeter handgun.
The traffic stop was the culmination of a joint investigation involving the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit and Sheriff’s Offices from Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties. The vehicle was also seized and the driver arrested on drug and weapon charges.
Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz says, “One of the key elements to fight our overdose and addiction issues are the arrest and conviction of drug dealers.”
