After a highly successful 2025 season, the Beaver Dam High School baseball team looks to build on that momentum with familiar faces stepping into new roles in 2026.
Beaver Dam won a school-record 20 games last season, finished runner-up in the Badger Large Conference, and advanced to the sectional final before falling to Hartford.
Despite losing three seniors now playing college baseball — Eli Bryant (D1 Kent State), Jeff Freund (DIII UW–River Falls), and Zach Schave (DIII UW–Oshkosh) — the Golden Beavers return a strong core from last year’s squad.
On the mound, junior Ashtyn Seifert is expected to take over the No. 1 spot in the rotation after going 6-2 with a 0.94 ERA as a sophomore. Senior Eli Johnson will also see innings after posting a 1-0 record with a 3.81 ERA last season. Coach Nate Wilke also expects contributions from Parker Blank, Isaiah Yuenger, Jackson Landron, Cam Blank, and Kellen Schmuhl.
Behind the plate, senior Brad Wendorff is expected to handle the majority of the catching duties. In the infield, Parker Blank will man third base, while Seifert and Schmuhl are expected to split time at shortstop. Cam Blank will see time at second, with Jaxon Ladron at first base. In the outfield, Johnson and Yuenger are expected to play key roles, with several players competing for the third spot.
The Baseball Wisconsin Yearbook projects Monona Grove as the favorite in the Badger Large Conference, followed by Milton, Watertown, Beaver Dam, Waunakee, Oregon, DeForest, and Baraboo.
Seifert and Parker Blank were named Second Team All-Badger Large in 2025.
