BD’s Gabby Wilke Enters Transfer Portal

After one season with the Butler women’s basketball team, 2024 Beaver Dam High School alum Gabby Wilke has entered the transfer portal.

Wilke appeared in 26 games for the Bulldogs, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest. Butler was 12-19 this season and 6-14 in Big East Conference play.

She transferred to Butler following a strong freshman campaign at South Dakota, where she played in all 31 games and made 16 starts. Wilke averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, scoring in double figures five times, including a season-high 21 points against Kansas City on Feb. 12, 2025. Wilke decided to transfer after head coach Kayla Karius left South Dakota to take the head coaching position at her alma mater UW-Green Bay.

At Beaver Dam, Wilke was a three-time Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 2 All-State selection.

Wilke will have two years of eligibility remaining as she searches for her next program.
