Beaver Dam Allocates $200K In ARPA Dollars To Pickleball Courts

(Beaver Dam) The city of Beaver Dam has committed a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act dollars to revitalize its pickleball courts.

The effort is in partnership with a dedicated group of local citizens as well as the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation to upgrade the current Athletic Field courts into a top-notch outdoor regional pickleball facility to host tournaments, community gatherings, corporate events, and intergenerational family outings.

The city has committed $200,000 in ARPA dollars which local volunteers hope to match and exceed those funds to achieve their vision. The pickleball courts are at their end of life and inadequate for current demand.

Mayor Becky Glewen says this transformative project will enhance the overall well-being of the community, promoting both physical and mental health among residents. She adds that this initiative will also bolster Beaver Damโ€™s appeal to both the local workforce and visitors.
