(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Fire Department will be hosting a food drive this weekend. For the past 21 years, the department has hosted the annual community food drive.
Chief Micheal Wesle says that the department usually brings the fire trucks out and has everyone dressed in their bunker gear. Monetary and non-perishable food donations will be accepted at both locations. The chief says the goal this year is to raise around $4,000.
“Last year we filled up both of those trailers, and I think we had $5,100 dollars,” Wesle says. “So, that was great.”
The annual community food drive will be on Saturday, December 21st from 9am to 1pm at Fox Brother’s Piggly Wiggly and Beaver Dam Food Pride.
