(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to help file taxes for low income and elderly taxpayers as part of the AARP’s Tax-Aide assistance program.
Beaver Dam Recreation Administrator Jana Stephens says volunteers can help in different ways.
“We are looking for volunteers, so if anyone is interested in learning more about volunteering as a tax preparer, a greeter, or in some other capacity and just want to learn a little bit more about what it’s about…”
There is no need to be an accountant or have a financial background to help. In-person, virtual, and self-study resources are available for training. Those interested in volunteering can visit the Beaver Dam Recreation Department at the Watermark, or by calling (920) 887-4639.
