(BEAVER DAM) People with disabilities in Beaver Dam and across Dodge County will see more support this year after a local nonprofit donated $10,000 to help sustain programs they rely on.
Opportunities, Inc. announced the donation to the Green Valley Legacy Fund, using proceeds from its 2025 Ham n Jam fundraiser. The fund helps support Green Valley Enterprises, a division of Opportunities, Inc., which provides services and programs for people with diverse abilities in the area.
The contribution will help keep those programs running and growing, ensuring people who depend on them continue to have access to resources and support close to home.
The Ham n Jam event, held annually in Beaver Dam, brings together neighbors, local businesses and community partners for a day of food, music and fundraising. Organizers say the eventโs success reflects strong local support for the mission.
โWe are incredibly grateful for the support that made this donation possible,โ said Barb LeDuc, president and CEO of Opportunities, Inc. โGiving back to initiatives like the Green Valley Legacy Fund helps strengthen our community and ensures resources are available for future generations.โ
This yearโs Ham n Jam is scheduled for July 25 at the Beaver Dam Conservationistsโ Club.
The Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation manages the Green Valley Legacy Fund and connects donors who want to support it.
