Woodland Fire Rescue’s $25,000 Donation Bolsters Horicon Marshmen Scholarship

(Horicon) The Horicon Marshmen Foundation recently received a donation to help establish a scholarship fund.

Woodland Fire Rescue donated $25,000 to the Foundation which will be used to create the scholarship that will be given annually to seniors from the school district. The $1,000 amount will go to graduates that are going into a career in trades โ€“ including construction, plumbing, and electrical โ€“ fire service, EMS, or law enforcement.

District officials say this is an exciting beginning for their Marshmen Foundation and students.

The Marshmen Foundation, which recently launched at the Horicon School District, aims to provide financial support, scholarships, grants, and the resources needed to bolster educational opportunities within the district.

Foundation officials say they will actively engage with the community, parents, educators, and students to identify their unique requirements and dreams.

They add that working collaboratively with the district’s leadership and stakeholders, they will implement programs and projects that resonate with the district’s aspirations, addressing the distinctive needs of its students.ย ย
