(Fond du Lac) Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies pursued a suspect for approximately seven mills Thursday evening.
It began with a traffic stop on Interstate 41 in the township of Byron at 7pm. Instead of stopping, the vehicle increased its speed and accelerated away.
Authorities successfully deployed a tire deflation device and the suspect vehicle exited I-41 to Johnson Street.
The driver, identified as a 42-year-old Milwaukee man, left the roadway while exiting end entered a ditch, which disabled the vehicle. The man fled on foot, running through local business parking lots.
Sheriff’s office K9 Ace was utilized to track the suspect down and he was taken into custody.
It was later discovered that the suspect was out on bond through Brown County for three cases including Possessing a Firearm as a Convicted Felon.
Law enforcement say the man will be facing additional charges of Fleeing, Possession of THC, and First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
