UPDATE: Fond du Lac County authorities have now identified the driver killed in that rollover crash as 30-year-old Jacqueline Ratelle of Waukesha. Investigators say she was the only person in the truck when it went off the road and overturned at County Highways W and BB late Wednesday night. The crash remains under investigation.
(ASHFORD) A late-night crash in Fond du Lac County left a woman dead after her truck rolled over at a rural intersection.
The crash happened just before midnight Wednesday near County Highway W and County Highway BB in the Town of Ashford. A passing driver called 911 to report the single-vehicle rollover.
Deputies say the pickup truck was heading north on Highway BB when it failed to make a curve. The vehicle went off the road, down an embankment, hit a culvert, and overturned onto Highway W.
The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Waukesha, was the only person in the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews from several agencies responded, and the intersection was closed for about three hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
