Wisconsin Positive COVID-19 Tests Top 3,000 For First Time

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,132 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 26,774 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,274 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 18.9-percent of the 141-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 113-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded nine deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,424. Deaths accounted for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 211-thousand people were from the United States.

Dodge County has 19 deaths on record and 2,369 cases, an increase of 101 from Wednesday. The county had 158 negative tests returned for a running total of 24,657. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 576 people while 1,328 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 37 deaths along with 3,098 cases.

Fond du Lac County has 2,694 positive tests on record along with 14 deaths.

Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,752 cases to date.

There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 986 cases.

Green Lake County now has 403 cases.
