Wisconsin, Local Tuesday COVID-19 Numbers Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 717 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 17.6-percent of the 4,000 tests announced. There are 8,169 active cases in the state, an increase of 73 from Monday. Active cases make up 9.9-percent of the 82-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 73-thousand recoveries.

For the third straight day, state health officials recorded no deaths and that number remains unchanged 1,168. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 188-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 898-thousand.

Dodge County has six deaths on record and 1,272 cases, an increase of 12 from Monday. The county had 57 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,958. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 166 people while 803 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,814 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths and 1,292 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,001 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 394 cases.

Green Lake County now has 112 cases.
