Wisconsin Launches Child Care Bridge Payment Program

(WISCONSIN) Relief is coming to Wisconsin childcare providers. The governor Wednesday launched the Child Care Bridge Payment Program. It will provide $110-million-dollars in monthly direct payments to Wisconsin childcare facilities through next June.

The investment was made possible as part of more than $360-million set aside in the biennial budget signed into law earlier this month. The aim is to help stabilize Wisconsinโ€™s childcare industry and lower the cost of childcare for working families.

The program is similar to Child Care Counts, which shuttered this June and helped over 5,700 facilities since launching in 2020 including providers in Dodge County.

The initial application window opens on July 26th and closes on August 3rd, with additional opportunities to apply each month through next June. Click HERE for more information.
