(Dodge County) There’s hope that the price of gas may be coming down even further in southeast Wisconsin. Winter blend gasoline can now be sold in southeast Wisconsin, thanks to a fire that knocked a refinery offline in Indiana making summer-blend fuels.
The Environmental Protection Agency waiver for four Midwestern states means gas stations can sell winter-blend gas for now. Winter-grade fuels are easier to make, and historically cheaper. Gas Buddy says there’s no telling how this new development may change the price at the pump.
According to the Triple A Fuel Gauge, the price of a gallon of gas in Dodge County is $3.53 which is below the statewide average of $3.56. Gas prices to our north are faring a bit better at $3.41 in Fond du Lac County. It is $3.49 in Green Lake County and $3.50 in Columbia County. Pump prices in Jefferson County are averaging $3.56 and Washington County it is $3.70.
