(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,626 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update. There are 40,538 active cases in the state, an increase of 732 from Saturday. Active cases make up 20.5-percent of the 198-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 155-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded eight deaths, bringing that total to 1,778. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.2-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 225-thousand were from the United States.
Dodge County has 27 deaths on record and 3,817 cases, an increase of 145 from Saturday. The county had 118 negative tests returned for a running total of 28,031.
Washington County has experienced 42 deaths and 4,269 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 4,127 positive tests on record and 19 deaths.
Jefferson County has reported 10 deaths and 2,554 cases to date, a one-day increase of 99 people.
There have been five deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,692 total cases.
Green Lake County has two deaths and has 706 cases on record.
