(Waupun) The Waupun man found dead under suspicious circumstances has been identified.
The Waupun Police Department responded to a home in the 100 block of West Brown Street last Thursday (January 4th) just before 5am. Upon arrival, officers found 74-year-old Paul Abresch Sr. deceased. The Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene. During the preliminary investigation, law enforcement determined that the death was suspicious in nature.
An autopsy was conducted Friday and it showed numerous injuries to Abresch’s torso as well as his head and facial area. Authorities are currently waiting on final autopsy results, toxicology, and the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
