Watertown Garage Fire Causes Roughly $180K In Damage

(Watertown) A Watertown garage fire caused roughly $180-thouand-dollars in damage. The Watertown Fire Department was called to 300 Lauren Lane around 3:43pm Friday.

Upon arrival, crews found an attached garage with heavy fire showing and dark smoke coming from the eves of the townhouse. Firefighters used two attack hose lines to start extinguishing the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes. The fire department then went inside the structure and extinguished any flames inside the building.

Officials say all the occupants were outside of the affected house. No injuries were reported, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze. Red Cross is assisting the residents impacted by the fire.
