Votes Tallied In Dodge County Primary Races

(Beaver Dam) There was a primary election for a few select areas throughout Dodge County Tuesday. The closest to our listening area was a contested race for the District 31 seat on the county board, which represents Wards 21 through 25 in the city of Beaver Dam.

According to the unofficial results from the county clerkโ€™s office, incumbent Kevin Burnett finished with 43 votes while Steve Rydzewski came in second with 42 and Jared Landsee had 15 votes.

There was also a mayoral primary in Mayville. Former mayor Rob Boelk garnered the most votes with 292 while current Mayor John Guinn had 153. J. James Liebenow secured 57 votes while there were 125 write-in votes.

The top two vote-getters in both races now move on to the April ballot.

Voters in the town of Ashippunโ€™s Ward 3 and town of Rubiconโ€™s Ward 2 saw five names on their ballot for a spot on the school board for the Hartford School District. Combining unofficial results from both Dodge and Washington Counties, Ed Behnke had 491 votes followed by Barbara Lindertโ€™s 341, Terrence Perfect finished with 338 votes, Ian Gronbeck had 335, and Tristan Johannes garnered 205 votes.
