(Juneau) The businesses community in Dodge County is encouraged to attend a virtual town hall this week that will cover the economic effects of COVID-19. The town hall is hosted by ThriveED which is an economic development partnership between Dodge and Jefferson County. The program will feature three panelists including Dodge County Board Chairman Russell Kottke, ThriveED President Vicki Pratt and Kevin Kauffman who is the Director of the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center at UW-Whitewater. Both Pratt and Kauffman will attend a similar meeting for Jefferson County alongside Administrator Ben Wehmeier. The panelists will provide an update on the local impact of COVID-19 as well as an economic outlook for county operations. They will also discuss legislative overview and updates on resources available to businesses. There are two sessions scheduled for Wednesday (May 6th). The Dodge County town hall starts at 5pm and concludes at 6:30pm while the Jefferson County town hall begins at 3pm and ends at 4:30pm. For more information visit ThriveED.org.
