(Beaver Dam) Graduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be conducting an analysis of Beaver Dam Lake this summer. It is part of the 2025 Water Resource Management graduate practicum project.
Students will focus on shoreline erosion and prospective lake and watershed improvement practices. Work will also include a DNR-accepted water quality sampling as well as prepare and distribute a community survey.
The project is being done in cooperation with the Beaver Dam Lake District and the Beaver Dam Lake Improvement Association.
The graduate students will present their findings and management recommendations by December. They will also provide a comprehensive draft report in the spring.
