(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,525 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update. There are 24,700 active cases in the state, a decrease of 584 from Monday. Active cases make up 4.7-percent the 524-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 494-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 42 deaths bringing that total to 5,512. Deaths account for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 399-thousand people have died in the United States.
Dodge County reported four deaths Tuesday for a total of 133 and 10,943, a one-day increase of 16 positive tests. The county had 27 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,852. Health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 343 people, a decrease of 13 from Monday.
Washington County has seen 110 deaths, two more than on Monday, along with 12,875 cases to date; 688 are active cases.
Fond du Lac County has 73 deaths with 11,266 positive tests on record; 581 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has reported one death bringing their total to 64 deaths and 7,287 cases to date; with 263 active cases.
Columbia County has seen 38 deaths and 4,645 positive tests; there are 216 active cases.
Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,448 cases on record, 41 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
