(Baraboo) The suspect in the murder of a Columbia County man was arraigned Thursday in a Sauk County courtroom. Robert Pulvermacher of Middleton stood mute and the judge entered a “not guilty” plea on his behalf to charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide. The body of Harold A. Johnson of Portage was found stabbed to death inside a vehicle parked outside the Ho-Chunk Casino in January. Prosecutors say that the 88-year-old was killed over a $100 debt. Pulvermacher was arrested one week later. The 68-year-old is scheduled to be back in court again next month.
