Sun Prairie Man Accused Of Making Violent Threats Towards Dodge County Authorities

(Beaver Dam) A Sun Prairie man made his initial appearance in court Monday on charges he made violent threats towards Dodge County authorities. Darius Scott is facing two felony counts of Threats to Law Enforcement.

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday night for speeding and Scott was reportedly identified as the driver. He had blood shot eyes and slurred speech, according to the complaint. Deputies started field sobriety testing but ended it when Scott allegedly stopped following directions.

The 28-year-old reportedly told a deputy (quote) “everyone you know is going to die.” While being transferred to the Dodge County Jail, Scott allegedly told law enforcement that he will go after what they love most, their job and family.

If convicted, Scott faces no more than 12 years in prison. Cash bond was set at $1,500 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19th.
