State, Local Coronavirus Numbers Thursday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,887 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 22,126 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,122 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 17.7-percent of the 125-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 101-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded 21 deaths, for a total of 1,348. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 206-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is over 1-million.

Dodge County has 17 deaths on record and 2,003 cases, an increase of 44 from Wednesday. The county had 10 negative tests returned for a running total of 23,193. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 488 people while 1,122 have recovered.

Washington County has now experienced 36 deaths along 2,750 cases.

Fond du Lac County has 2,296 positive tests on record along with 14 deaths.

Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,543 cases to date.

There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 698 cases.

Green Lake County now has 323 cases.
