(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 953 positive coronavirus cases in Saturday’s daily update, which is 6.7-percent of the over 14-thousand tests announced. There are 9,674 active cases in the state, down from Friday. Active cases make up 20-percent of the nearly 48-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 37-thousand recoveries.
There were 13 deaths were reported by state health officials Saturday, for a total of 891. Deaths accounted for just under two-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 9.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been nearly 144-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 641-thousand.
Dodge County has five deaths on record and 609 cases, an increase of ten from Friday. The county had 142 negative tests returned for a running total of 14,198. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 53 people while 304 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 675 positive tests. Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 480 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has four deaths and 504 cases, a one-day increase of 22. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 187 positive cases. Green Lake County has 49 cases.
