(Beaver Dam) The 29th Annual Beaver Dam Scholarship Foundation Awards Ceremony was recently held at Old Hickory Country Club. Thirty students received scholarships through the Foundation totaling approximately $215,000.
All but three students awarded scholarships were 2020 Beaver Dam High School graduates. The three other students attended Luther Prep in Watertown, Sun Prairie, and Almond-Bancroft. They were either co-op students are were awarded the scholarships from Apache Stainless Equipment in Beaver Dam as dependents of employees.
The keynote speaker of the ceremony was Beaver Dam High School Class of 2000 graduate – and Beaver Dam Scholarship Foundation award recipient – Andrea Brossard, operator of Brossard Dairy Farm. The UW Madison alum addressed the 2020 recipients virtually in an address that focused on change, transition, and finding passion following graduation.
