(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,858 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update. There are 50,264 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,995 from Thursday. Active cases make up 11.7-percent of the 430-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 375-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 47 deaths bringing that total to 3,991. Deaths account for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 291-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 87 deaths and 9,503 cases to date, a one-day increase of 120 cases. The county had 168 negative tests returned for a running total of 345,048. County health officials are actively monitoring 904 people, an increase of 43 cases from Thursday.
Washington County is reporting two more deaths for a total of 86 deaths along with 10,107 cases to date, with 1,709 active cases.
Fond du Lac County is reporting three more deaths for a total of 59 and has 9,446 positive tests on record; 1,130 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has seen 45 deaths and 5,927 cases to date; with 581 active cases.
Columbia County has experienced four more deaths for a total of 19 and 3,813 positive tests; currently the county has 664 active cases.
Green Lake County is reporting a ninth death and has 1,260 cases on record, with 99 cases reported in the last two weeks.
