Sitting Chair Of Beaver Dam’s Police And Fire Commission Passed Away

(Beaver Dam) The sitting chair of Beaver Dam’s Police and Fire Commission has passed away. Jeff Kohman died on Monday at Meriter Hospital in Madison.

Kohman served as a Beaver Dam alderman beginning in 1993 and was council president from 1997 until June of 2005. The Beaver Dam-native was also a candidate in the most recent election for mayor. He was a 1971 graduate of Horicon High School and was employed as a service manager for the automotive industry for his working career.

Kohman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jennifer, and his three children. A private memorial service will take place and a public gathering will be held on Thursday, March 31, from 3pm to 5pm at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Memorials can be directed to the Beaver Dam Police Department Charities or the Beaver Dam Fire Department – Fire Prevention Fund. Kohman was 69.
