Sheboygan Man Charged With Stealing Nail Guns From Beaver Dam Menards

(Beaver Dam) A Sheboygan man was charged Tuesday with stealing power tools from Beaver Dam Menards. Ryan Shaw is facing a felony count of Retail Theft and Bail Jumping as well as an additional misdemeanor charge of Bail Jumping. In November, the Beaver Dam Police Department were made aware of a theft from store managers that occurred on October 2nd. They were shown video surveillance that depicted the suspect conceal three nail guns into a tote container. While off camera, authorities believe the individual loads the nail guns into an emptied out shelving box which was then scanned by the cashier at checkout. The total cost of the items taken was $688-dollars. The vehicle was registered to a person from Sheboygan and with help from local law enforcement, police reportedly identified the suspect in the video as Shaw. The 35-year-old, who was in the Ozaukee County Jail for other retail thefts, allegedly said he had nothing to say to investigators when sought for questioning. If convicted, Shaw faces over 10 years in prison. An initial appearance is scheduled for July 6th.
