Several Inches Of Snow Reported In Dodge County

(Dodge County) Dodge County saw around one to three inches of snowfall Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. However, more dangerous weather conditions are expected to hit the area Friday with freezing temperatures and high winds expected.

Meteorologists continue to urge caution with the winter storm pushing through Wisconsin. Nathan Lynum with the National Weather Service in Duluth says you need to be especially cautious out on the highways.

“There could be some near-shore wind gusts up to about 50 to 55 miles per hour, especially again late Thursday night and into Saturday morning.”

Emergency management officials say you should reconsider traveling long distances this holiday, and if you do have to drive somewhere, make sure you have a winter preparedness kit in your vehicle. They also encourage motorists to check 511wi.gov before going anyhwhere.
