Several Dodge County Couples Named To Wisconsin Family Council Marriage Hall Of Fame

(Dodge County) Several local couples were elected to the state’s marriage hall of fame. The Wisconsin Family Council began what they called “this unique Hall of Fame” to honor both the institution of marriage and individual marriages that have gone the distance.

A total of eleven couples were part of their first hall of fame class with five being from the surrounding area:

Otis and Bonnie Ostrander from Beaver Dam have been married for 67 years.

Donald and Alice Roth from Hustisford will be married 69 years this April.

Bill and Barbara Lincoln from Watertown and Levi and Patricia Snyder from Markesan have both been married for 68 years.

Clarence and Henrietta VanEssen from Waupun have been married for 70 years.

The Wisconsin Family Council says unfortunately Clarence passed away last month. The organization’s President Julaine Appling says strong marriages that last a lifetime are the bedrock for a strong Wisconsin. Click HERE to learn more about each couple.
