Select Dodge County Voters Will Head To The Polls For Today’s Primary

(Juneau) There is a primary election in Dodge County Tuesday, but only a select few will be going to the polls. There is a contested race for the District 31 seat on the county board.

Incumbent Kevin Burnett is facing a challenge from Steve Rydzewski and Jared Landsee. The seat represents a portion of Beaver Dam. City Administrator Nathan Thiel outlines who should plan on heading to the polls today.

โ€œVoters may not know exactly which district they are in or what ward they are inโ€ฆbut before heading out to the polls [today]โ€ฆ[look it up on the cityโ€™s website]โ€ฆbut wards twenty-one and higher,โ€ says Thiel. โ€œSo twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, and twenty-fiveโ€ฆall those wards have an election.โ€

Thiel notes that the polling site is the Watermark in Beaver Dam.

Residents in the city of Mayville will see a mayoral primary pitting incumbent John Guinn against former mayor Rob Boelk and J. James Liebenow. The top two vote-getters in both races will move on to the April election.

Voters in the town of Ashippunโ€™s Ward 3 and town of Rubiconโ€™s Ward 2 will see five names on their ballot for a spot on the school board for the Hartford School District.

Those voting in the February primary will need to provide a photo ID. The polls will be open 7am to 8pm.
