SBA Reminds Wisconsin Residents, Businesses of Disaster Loan Deadlines

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The Small Business Administration is reminding Wisconsin residents, businesses, and nonprofit organizations about an upcoming deadline to apply for federal disaster loans tied to severe weather from last summer.

The loans are connected to storms, flooding, straight-line winds and mudslides that impacted parts of Wisconsin between August 9th and 12th of 2025.

Eligible counties include Dodge, Fond du Lac, Washington, Jefferson, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Ozaukee, Walworth, and Sheboygan counties.

The SBA says low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available for small businesses, nonprofits, and some agricultural-related organizations dealing with financial losses connected to the disaster.

SBA says loans can be used for expenses like payroll, fixed debts and unpaid bills. Loan amounts can reach up to $2 million. The deadline to apply in June 11.
