Lois Mae Pilsner, age 97 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.
Lois was born on November 30, 1928, in Appleton, the daughter of Ralph and Jennie (Nichols) Tribbey. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1947. On March 16, 1949, Lois was united in marriage to her husband Victor Pilsner at the Lutheran Church in Browns Corners, Wisconsin.
Lois worked at Phoenix Hosiery in Beaver Dam and also at Weyenberg Shoe Manufacturing Company in Beaver Dam. When Victor started Vic’s Auto Body in Horicon, Lois handled the bookkeeping for the business. Lois taught Sunday school for a few years. After Vic’s death, she married Jerome E. Hartl of Woodland, Wisconsin, at Faith Bible Alliance Church in Neosho. Lois deeply enjoyed her faith in Christ Jesus and God and shared her faith for many years through poetry and scriptures with friends, family, and acquaintances.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Marlee (Steve) Christians and Luanne Runck; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Victor Pilsner and Jerome Hartl; son-in-law, Colin Runck; grandson, Shawn Christians; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and other relatives.
In honoring Lois’ wishes, private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.
